Switched the juveniles to Coppens 3mm crumble this week as they have outgrown the 2mm. Feeding response is good. Will move to 4mm pellets in roughly two weeks based on growth rate.
Did a manual inspection of 30 randomly netted fry. Fin condition healthy, no signs of fungus or parasitic load. Average weight has climbed to 4.5 g, on track for the schedule.
Pulled 142 kg of table-size catfish from Pond 4 this morning for the Lagos delivery. Average weight: 1.05 kg. Fish were graded, weighed and dispatched in iced trays by 7:30 am. Customer signed off on delivery at Iyana-Ipaja by 11:15.
Smaller evening ration since the morning portion was fully consumed. Water temperature was at 28.2°C — within comfort range.
Took Pond 5 out of rotation. Drained, sun-dried for 36 hours, then applied agricultural lime at 200 kg/ha. Will let it rest for another 5 days before refilling and stocking the new Heteroclarias batch.
